Once upon a time there lived a little girl with the most beautiful sparkling eyes. At five months old those eyes would shine despite the fact that her entire face was cracked, blistered, raw and red from eczema. She wore socks on her hands to prevent her from scratching her face. Even with the socks she would rub her face and the skin would crack. Attempting to go anywhere was impossible because she could not ride in the car unless someone was holding her hands away from her face. Sleeping at night meant wrapping her in your arms and not letting go all night. The looks she would receive when she did make it out were enough to make any parent cry. The eczema covered her limbs also and she would wiggle to scratch unless she was in the tub. I was a stubborn mom and refused to just smear her face with steroid creams. I began to change her environment, starting with our laundry detergent. After trying countless brands of "natural detergents" without any positive results, my motherly insticts drove me to create my own. Many experiments later I finally did it. I developed a laundry detergent that my little girl could actually wear her clothes without being miserable. With the detergent I created, her skin could heal without having harsh chemicals rubbing against her and eventually the red raw skin disappeared. Her name is Mason and through it all she was a trooper. Mason is now 8 and has beautiful skin. I feared she would have permanent scars but not a one. Mason was my inspiration and we began to develop other cleaning supplies to make the entire cleaning process chemical free.
